Why we built Savvey
Shopping in 2026 is full of fake "was" prices, inflated RRPs, countdown timers and lookalike listings designed to make you feel you're getting a deal when you're not. We wanted the opposite: a tool that tells you, plainly and honestly, what a product actually costs across the UK market — and whether the price in front of you is genuinely good.
Savvey was built for two everyday moments: standing in a shop holding the box, wondering if the shelf price is fair; and restocking from your sofa, wanting the best price without trawling ten tabs. Snap a product or type its name and we check 40+ UK retailers in seconds.
What we stand for
- ✓Honest by default. No inflated reference prices, no fake urgency, no dark patterns.
- ✓Independent. We're not owned by a retailer, and nobody can pay to rank cheaper or higher. The ranking is decided purely by the verified price.
- ✓Accurate over flattering. We match every price to the exact model and size, and if we can't verify a price we don't show it.
- ✓Useful, grounded advice. Our buying guides and in-app "Savvey Says" notes are based on real reviews and real market data — never invented claims.
How we make money
Savvey is free, with no sign-up. When you buy through some of the retailer links on Savvey, we may earn a small commission from the retailer — at no extra cost to you. This never affects which price we rank as cheapest. Full detail is on our how it works page.
Who we are
Savvey is an independent price-comparison service, designed and operated in the United Kingdom. We're a small, founder-led team focused on doing one thing well: honest UK price comparison and buying advice. We're not affiliated with or owned by any retailer or manufacturer.
Questions, feedback, press or partnership enquiries are always welcome at office@savvey.me — a real person reads every message.
Where we're headed
The Savvey web app is in free public beta now, and a native iOS app is on the way — you can see how it works here. Our north star never changes: fast, accurate, genuinely useful, and honest about price — at home and in store.
